[FSUG-TSR] Seminar on Linux-an aid to engineering education

        Dept.of Computer Science,GEC Thrissur in association with FSUGTSR is
conducting a seminar on 18th november 2009 at GEC,Thrissur from
9.00am-4.00pm.The goal of the programme are

   1. An introduction to GNU/Linux for the newbie of freesoftware world
   2. To introduce opensource softwares for scientific computation to aid &
   improve the quality of education

 The sessions are:

   - Desktop environments
   - Stellarium
   - Openoffice tools
   - Blender 3D
   - Freesoftware ethics
   - Foss and engineering education
   - Python based computing
   - Fedora electronics lab
   - Tex/Latex
   - Scilab

All are invited.
